In this day and age, many people or even societies don’t have the slightest grasp of the notion “food for thought”. I usually “eat” a lot of thoughts but I never linked this to a process like the FFT one. Yesterday I was talking to a friend about a lot of things, theories and what not, and she said something about focusing on the positive things of a situation. I took a pause on this and said to myself: “yeah…food for thought…” I suddenly remembered the process and realize that I am a big follower of FFT.
A lot of people don’t have this exercise and that’s not a good thing because it’s essential for us to generate or to interact with someone for the purpose of mind exercises, or for our own learning processes.
By the way, the food for thought process is the situation when you debate on a subject and you’re left with a duty of analyzing the aspects of it in the near future. It’s like a self-assigned homework or a homework, that is more fun…….or fun. For example, in my case, after the dialogue on the positive thing subject, I was left with the “positive way food”. So when I went to bed, I took a moment to analyze the subject in correlation with my own way of life.
Like I said, it is essential for us to do these exercises, because we could tend to get situations fixed using this mechanism. We could also get accustom to this attitude, that can make us calculated and steady in front of a difficult situation.
In conclusion, the FFT is just like any healthy diet that can help us find a balance of mind.
